Dr. Sandra Welsh, Lead Veterinarian Partner at CityVet | Marvin, has cared for pets in the Charlotte area for more than 30 years and brings that experience and compassion to every visit. Her services include wellness and sick care for dogs and cats, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and laser therapy. Dr. Welsh believes veterinary care should feel respectful, honest, and deeply personal for each family, with time for clients to ask questions and feel heard. Marvin is especially meaningful to Dr. Welsh, who lived in the area for 20 years. As the clinic owner, she has intentionally built a friendly, relaxed culture focused on exceptional service and providing a stress-free experience for pets.

I brought my dog, Willy, in today to be seen, and the entire team was welcoming and attentive from the moment we walked through the door. The doctor was super thorough during his exam and took the time to answer all my questions.
To top it off, I found out they offer grooming right in the clinic! I met their groomer while we were there and immediately got Willy on the schedule.
So convenient to have expert veterinary care and grooming under one roof. Highly recommend!

Can dogs eat corn on the cob or hot dogs at your Labor Day BBQ?
Quick answer: no! Bones splinter, corn cobs cause blockages, and chocolate/xylitol are toxic. Keep pet-friendly treats on hand instead.
A few other things to keep in mind: alcohol and soda are off-limits, fresh water + shade beat the heat, supervise pool time (not every dog`s a strong swimmer), set up a quiet space for fireworks-sensitive pets, and clear the yard of citronella candles, bug spray, and skewers.
A little prep = a fun, stress-free weekend for everyone!
