Veterinary Clinic in Dallas, TX

HELLO NEIGHBOR!

Dr. Lauren Atkinson, Lead Veterinarian at CityVet | Addison, leads the practice with kindness and a deep commitment to her patients' veterinary care. Dr. Atkinson was called to the profession after witnessing the teamwork and attentive care provided to an injured Canadian goose she came across as an undergrad. Today, she provides comprehensive veterinary services, from preventive care to complex surgeries, while building trust-based relationships with her clients through transparent communication. She meets clients where they are and presents families with all available care options for their pets. Throughout her past 6 years in Addison, she has continued to support local organizations such as The Street Dog Project and the ASPCA and plays the cello with the New Life Symphony Orchestra. Under her servant leadership, the CityVet | Addison team is known for its tenure, close-knit culture, and dedication to going above and beyond for Addison pets and their families.

Separation anxiety is a condition where a dog becomes stressed and anxious when separated from their owner, even if only for short periods. This anxiety can manifest in various disruptive behaviors, such as destructive chewing, incessant barking, or attempts to escape. The first step in managing this behavior is understanding what triggers it and how it impacts your dog’s well-being.
