Dr. Dunn diagnosed a tumor (twice dismissed by another vet) as suspicious and suggested removal…great call as that tumor was cancer. Dr. Dunn did an expert job with the surgery. My buddy is doing great (cancer free!) and doesn’t even have a scar…AND he still LOVES to go visit Dr. Dunn!
Dr. Beach worked with our elderly dog to diagnose arthritis. We brought our old girl in to see Dr. Beach because her back legs had stopped working and she couldn’t walk. Dr. Beach adeptly determined that it wasn’t that her legs wouldn’t work but that she was in too much pain to walk. Dr. Beach’s prescription for two medications immediately fixed the problem and our old girl has been back on her feet for 10 months now with no issues!

In closing out our Staff Appreciation Week (National Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week), we recognize two terrific teammates Miranda Mayfield and Amanda Brookins.
Miranda has been with the CityVet Flower Mound Team since 2025 starting as an Animal Care Attendant. She was quickly promoted to Lead Animal Care Attendant and now Veterinary Assistant. Miranda has trained, learned and grown by her willingness to help others as well as herself. She is always willing to step in whenever help is needed & can easily handle any fractious cat (this is huge)!
Amanda (pictured with her dog Rae & kitten Steve stickers) has been with CV Flower Mound for almost 5 years and started as a Customer Service Specialist. She is now our Lead Customer Service Specialist and plays a vital role in the hospital operating smoothly & efficiently. Amanda enjoys working with clients to ensure their pets stay happy and healthy.

Finishing up our Staff Appreciation Week, today we recognize a returning Veterinary Technician, Madison Cato. Maddie worked with the Flower Mound Team in 2019-2023 then relocated. She’s come back to join our CV Family, and we’re so glad to have her!
Madison loves being the voice for the creatures that don’t have their own voice. It also makes her happy to be a safe person for animals.
Maddie loves working at City Vet because it’s where she first learned and fell in love with veterinary medicine. Dr. Beach, too. She is one of the best vets Maddies ever worked for in the past 8 years!

Angie has been with the Flower Mound Team for a little over 6 years and started as a volunteer. Then progressed to an Animal Care Attendant, then Veterinary Assistant, now Veterinary Technician. She has cross trained, grown, learned and challenged herself to continuing being the best and is now a very strong member of our team!
Angie loves working at CityVet because of the friendships she`s made and how close her work family is. Angie cares for each patient like it was her own and enjoys being a part of the veterinary medical team keeping them healthy.
