Dr. Tylanda Johnson, Lead Veterinary Partner at CityVet | Lower South End, is dedicated to delivering compassionate, personalized veterinary care for pets and their families. She believes the best veterinary medicine starts with partnership, which means working closely with pet parents to understand each pet’s unique needs, personality, and treatment plan. Inspired by a lifelong passion for protecting animals, Dr. Johnson has built a veterinary practice focused on kindness, trust, and high-quality care. Her team strives to create a warm, welcoming environment where pets feel safe and families feel confident in their decisions. Outside the clinic, Dr. Johnson enjoys DIY projects and giving back to the global community through mission trips, including to Uganda, where she visits and supports a local children’s home.

So impressed with Dr J’s bedside manner. She was very good explaining things and with Layla. Even though Bella was only there for emotional support, Dr J still greeted and pet her! The staff was very warm and welcoming. You would have thought I was an established client but today was my first visit! If you’re in the Charlotte area, please check out this Vet practice. You will not be disappointed.

We had a really good first visit with my new rescue. They were kind, informative, and made my pup feel right at home. If you are looking for a new vet this is the place. They also had fair/ competitive pricing and an extremely clean facility. They also treated my girl to a pup cup and a toy. She loved it there .

As a first time pet owner, I cannot say enough about how fantastic Dr. Johnson and the staff at City Vet are. They made our kitten feel comfortable and took their time with us to ensure all questions were answered. The facilities were clean and we look forward to returning for our vet needs in the future!

I had a great experience at CityVet Lower South End w/ my husky, Luna. They worked hard to get her in the same day when she developed a sudden skin issue, & I really appreciated it.

From the moment we walked in, everyone was friendly, welcoming, & informative. The clinic has a great atmosphere, & they even brought Luna water & gave her treats to help her feel comfortable.

The veterinarian performed a very thorough exam, explained everything clearly, & provided detailed notes & easy-to-follow instructions. I left feeling confident about Luna’s treatment plan & knowing exactly what to watch for at home.

I’m very thankful for the compassionate care Luna received & would definitely recommend CityVet Lower South End to anyone looking for a caring, professional veterinary team.

I was visiting today for what i assumed was an emergency visit and needed immediate assistance for my pup as a walk in. I was reassured from the front desk staff to come in when i called the office first to give them a heads up on my arrival. On arrival, I was welcomed in and took to a room for check in. Everyone was so friendly and kind! From the front desk and check in to being seen by Dr.Johnson , top notch service 👌🏾 as usual. I felt so much better leaving with my pup being seen and treated with their exceptional care. Thanks again!

CityVet LoSo is the best clinic we’ve been to so far and will definitely be our go-to moving forward! From the very beginning, we were greeted with a warm welcome from Latonya at the front desk which really set the tone for the rest of our experience. We were seen right away and the entire visit felt very seamless and efficient. I’ve never seen our kitten that comfortable at a vet appointment, which was largely attributed to the exceptional care given by Dr. Johnson and her vet tech, Saranda! They gave him so much love and were also very knowledgeable and patient with us and took the time to explain everything thoroughly, from his treatment, advice to care for him at home, payment, etc. We left feeling very confident that Korry will be in great hands moving forward during his vet visits.
