Dr. Leigh Johnston, Lead Veterinarian Partner at CityVet | McKinney, began her journey in veterinary medicine as a technician, earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Texas A&M University and grew into practice ownership through dedication and compassion. She is passionate about providing personalized veterinary care, building trusted relationships with pet owners, and delivering transparent communication that supports confident decision making. Dr. Johnston and her team focus on creating a comfortable, low stress experience for every pet while tailoring treatment plans to each family’s needs. Deeply connected to the McKinney community, Dr. Johnston volunteers with nearby Scout groups and her church, supporting food drives and community events throughout the year. She leads with a servant mindset and a genuine commitment to caring for pets and the people who love them. Outside the clinic, she enjoys the outdoors with her husband, James, and their four children.
