A little head shake isn`t always "just itchy."
If your pet is shaking their head, scratching at their ears, or you notice an odor or discharge, an ear infection could be the culprit. Left untreated, ear infections can become painful and may lead to more serious problems.
Watch for these common signs:
🐾 Head shaking
🐾 Scratching at the ears
🐾 Redness or swelling
🐾 Bad odor
🐾 Brown, yellow, or black discharge
🐾 Sensitivity when the ears are touched
🐾 Head tilt or balance changes
🚫 Please don`t clean your pet`s ears with Q-tips. Q-tips can push debris deeper into the ear canal and may cause injury. If you think your pet has an ear infection, it`s best to have their ears examined before cleaning them. We can identify the cause—whether it`s yeast, bacteria, ear mites, allergies, or something else—and recommend the right treatment.
