The months of July and August
were difficult for my Bentley.
I went to his regular vet, pleading for help but all I received was creams and non-effective medications. Absolutely no diagnosis from his long time veterinarian.
Bentley was getting worse. I knew what had to be done.
I went to City Vets, without an appointment. Got out of my car and a wonderful staff member help me carry Bentley. He’s just a little one into their special room.
Dr. Andrew Raskin, greeted me with all the compassion of a dear friend. He looked at Bentley and confirmed my thoughts.
There were dark spots all over his body.
Without hesitation Dr. Raskin came into the room with the needle. He stepped down to Bentley’s level. My beloved Bentley licked the doctor’s nose, as if to say it was okay.
Within seconds it was over. But, you never really get over losing your loved one.
To all the pet parents, I understand your desperation to find a cure. You try everything to save them. But, it is truly in God’s hands.
But, when you have a veterinarian like Dr Raskin you know your pet will be taken care of. They handle the cremation, they placed his ashes in a beautifully carved box with his name on it.
Please go see Dr Raskin. Without question he’s a finest veterinarian I’ve ever met.
