We’re honored to be voted the Best Veterinary Clinic of Coppell and North Irving for 2026
We’re truly honored to be voted the Best Veterinary Clinic of Coppell and North Irving for 2026 voted by our clients and readers of Living Magazine and even more grateful for the trust you place in us every day.
We are a local clinic in Coppell, Texas proudly owned by Dr. Jana Bryant. Thank you for supporting our neighborhood practice and for trusting Dr. Bryant and our team with your pets’ care.

I just wanted to post a thank you from the bottom of my heart to the amazing people at CityVet. Our beloved Kahlúa unfortunately passed away last month, and losing her so unexpectedly was devastating for us.
Dr. Amy Sheldon and all her amazing team members took the time to send us a heartfelt, handwritten letter shortly after her passing. I can’t express how much it meant to us to receive this from the team that took such good care of her these last few years, and to know how many hearts our Kahlúa touched. This simple action from their staff just shows how much they care for their patients. Thank you Dr. Sheldon and CityVet❤️
Previous Review:
Wow! I have never had such incredible customer service from a vet’s office before. Dr. Sheldon completed multiple teeth extractions and a mass removal on our sweet Kahlúa, and both her and the staff were so incredibly kind, reassuring, and communicative during the entire process. I rarely write reviews but just had to give them the biggest shoutout!
I’ve never had a vet who clearly cared so much about their patients and customers. I am SO thankful to have finally found a great vet’s office. Thank you so much for taking care of our sweet girl during an intimidating surgery.
Dr. Amy kept us updated on Birdie’s progress every step of the way and, when it became clear we were going to have to say goodbye, she advocated for Birdie and made it possible for us to come in even though they were closed so we could be with her one last time.
It is rare to find a veterinarian who is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but who also truly understands how deeply we love our pets and how devastating it is to lose them. Being given the chance to see Birdie, hold her, and say goodbye meant more to us than Dr. Amy will ever know.
Thank you, Dr. Amy, for caring for Birdie, for advocating for her, and for showing us so much compassion during such a heartbreaking time. We will never forget the kindness you showed our family.
Why does my dog snore? 🐾💤
Short answer: snoring happens when airflow gets partially blocked in your dog`s nose or throat during sleep, causing tissue to vibrate. It`s usually harmless — but not always.
Common causes:
Breed: flat-faced dogs like Pugs, Bulldogs & Boxers snore more due to shorter airways
Sleep position: snoozing on their back can block airflow
Weight & age: extra fat or looser throat muscles narrow the airway
Allergies: dust, pollen & smoke can irritate nasal passages
Medical issues: infections, respiratory problems, or sleep apnea
When to worry: sudden/louder snoring, labored breathing while awake, or snoring + coughing, discharge, or appetite changes.
Not sure if it`s normal? Book a visit, and we`ll help you (and your pup) sleep easy.

Those tiny teeth hurt more than they have any right to.
If your kitten is ambushing your ankles, they`re not being mean — they`re being a kitten.
Keep a wand toy within reach and swap it in the second they go for your hand. When play gets rough, stop and walk away — they learn fast that teeth end the fun. And watch for the tells that they`re overstimulated: tail flicking, ears back, pupils blown wide. That`s your cue to take a break.
If biting starts suddenly or only when you touch one spot, it could signal pain, and you should talk to your veterinarian.

If there`s no pet in our arms, that`s not us!
Is it healthy to snuggle with your pet?
Yes — for most people, cuddling with a healthy, parasite-free pet is safe and comes with real benefits. Close contact with pets has been linked to lower stress, reduced blood pressure, and stronger bonding for both of you. Snuggling can also help owners catch problems early: new lumps, hot spots, ear odor, or flinching at a touch are all worth checking with your veterinarian.

Even their staff for small things like recommending joint supplements for our cats was handled with care. They weren’t just recommending supplements for no reason but to actually improve our cats quality of lives. They’ve even sat on the ground with our girls when they were scared to be on the table in the vet room to examine them. I would recommend City Vet to any one.
Dr. Perez is so caring and helpful. He really loves dogs, patient with questions, awesome recommendations and honest feedback. I’m so glad I found this vet! All the staff are kind and friendly, amazing team here.

Absolutely LOVELY people. I truly cannot recommend them enough.
If you’re nearby, and need help for your furchildren, do not hesitate to go to them.
They’re in good hands here. ❤️
Everyone was so kind and helpful, I ended up transferring my other dog to their care (pictured). They are verrry bully breed friendly which is such a relief. It’s not my boys’ fault it’s one of the most common contributions to mixed breeds. The pictures of the owner’s staffies all over the place cut those judgemental looks out of the equation!
I’m really looking forward to having senior care done here for both of them. I feel like we’re in really good hands and I feel confident about the upcoming surgery. Priceless.
The veterinarian performed a very thorough examination and prepared every document required for my dog to travel to Mexico. What impressed me most was their familiarity with the new travel documentation—several other veterinary clinics I contacted were not even aware of the updated requirements.
CityVet exceeded all my expectations with its professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care. I highly recommend this clinic, especially to anyone traveling internationally with a pet. Truly first-class veterinary service!

This Is the 2nd time we have brought him to this facility. We want him to continue being a patient here.
The hours, location, and especially the care he has received are far superior to anything we have experienced since we moved to San Antonio.
Thanks.
The payment system is flexible, which is very nice, especially if you have pet insurance. The receptionists (who are all so lovely) have always been timely in sending me everything I need for my claims.
The vets are considerate and good at explaining their findings in an easily digestible way, and their techs are personable and super capable. They were very good at administering care to my ENORMOUS cat who hates being handled.
There is a mutual respect: The doc respects your wishes and doesn’t push when you decline something for the moment, and you respect the doc’s expertise if they something needs to be done. It’s about putting the animal above all else, and I’ve always felt on the same page with the docs about that, period. I never feel pushed into making an unnecessarily expensive decision, unlike my old place.
Important to know: Your appointment time is serious to the staff, but they are an URGENT CARE CLINIC as well!! If an animal comes in for a dire emergency before yours can be seen, obviously they’re going to save that animal first!!! The delay because of an event like this has never been too long in my experience! Seriously, no more than 20-30 minutes. The staff are really on top of things here.
