Even their staff for small things like recommending joint supplements for our cats was handled with care. When a dog destroys everything, the cause usually falls into one of three categories: intense boredom (a need for activity), panic when left alone (a need for security, often seen as dog destructive behavior when left alone), or a natural instinct to chew or dig without a proper outlet. Identifying the driving need is the key to finding the right solution, especially if dog anxiety destructive behavior is part of the picture.

Happy National Guinea Pig Day!
Today we`re celebrating two adorable guinea pigs, Linn and Suyin! While Linn showed off the classic guinea pig charm, Suyin turned heads with her unique hairless appearance.
Guinea pigs make wonderful pets for families who are prepared for their daily care and social needs. These intelligent, social animals thrive with companionship, a proper diet rich in hay and vitamin C, and plenty of enrichment to keep them active and engaged.
Although National Guinea Pig Day doesn`t fall on a Wednesday this year, these photos were taken during one of our favorite traditions—Pink Wednesday! Our team was rocking their pink when Linn and Suyin came in for a visit, making the day even more fun.

My 16 year old cat had a seizure this morning for the first time. City Vet was able to see her immediately as a walk-in appointment and provided thorough and compassionate care, and ensured that we were informed of all possibilities and next steps for her comfort and ongoing care.

🎄🐾 Holiday Safety Reminder for Our Pets! 🐾🎄
With many holidays being celebrated over the next few weeks, it’s especially important to keep a close eye on our pets to make sure they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t.
🚫 Holiday Plants to Avoid
Common seasonal plants can be harmful if ingested, including:
• Lilies
• Mistletoe
• Poinsettias
• Holly
• Pine tree needles and sap
• Christmas cactus
These can cause irritation, vomiting, diarrhea, and in some cases more serious, life-threatening conditions.
🍽️ Holiday Foods to Keep Out of Reach
Foods such as turkey (especially dark meat), butter or fried dishes, stuffing, gravy, casseroles, and certain desserts can lead to vomiting and diarrhea. High-fat foods may also trigger pancreatitis.
⚠️ Toxic Foods — Seek Care Immediately
Uncooked bread dough, onions, raisins/grapes, xylitol, certain spices and oils (such as sage), chocolate (dark chocolate is the most toxic), and avocado pits are dangerous. If your pet ingests any of these, they should be seen as soon as possible.
