Our experience with Dr. Daube and the staff at CityVet was one of the best vet experiences we’ve ever had. They were able to get us in for a same-day appointment, and everyone at the office was incredibly kind and caring. Our senior chihuahua mix has severe anxiety when going to the vet (which in turn makes me stressed about going, too). Our visit was calm and accommodating of our dog’s special needs, and Dr. Daube was very helpful, informative, and empathetic. And, their rates were very reasonable. I can’t recommend this clinic enough. Thank you to all the staff at CityVet for your attention and care!

They got me in early same day, waiting to be seen in the room was very fast. The entire staff/vet tech was very considerate of my small senior dog which I appreciated the most. Wow, I have two words- Above and beyond!
Dr. Lipp and her team Lisette, Amber and Cheyenne are exceptional!

My cat Emma was experiencing some pain and discomfort post-surgery with another vet. I reached out to them and didn’t get the reassurance I needed and felt there was something wrong. Alternatively, I reached out to Dr. Lipp via email at an unusual hour for a second opinion. To my surprise, she responded and was able reassure me and fit me into her schedule.

Dr. Lipp has a compassionate and pleasantly soothing presence that instantly puts you (and your pets) at ease. She is thorough, honest, and most importantly kind!

When I called in the morning to schedule the appointment, Cheyenne was able to explain my options, was professional and helpful. She shared my options so clearly. I felt like I was in great professional hands.

Then, when I came in Lisette asked clarifying questions to get the bigger picture and shared her professional experience and perspective about the situation. She made me feel seen, heard and understood. She was incredibly compassionate and honored my feelings, that space truly put me at ease.

After checking in, Amber assisted me with the Drop-off process and explained the process clearly and was patient with my ambivalence.

In addition to the heart-centered and thorough service, the space matched the energy I received over the phone. The space was clean, calm and had a specific area for cats, which I loved!

I FINALLY found a Veterinary Clinic addressed my need for clarity with patience, calmed my nervous system, AND gave me the level attention to detail I needed as a persnickety, sometimes hyper-vigilant Cat Mom.

I am truly grateful for Dr. Lipp and her team! They make me feel so seen and safe that I was completely comfortable leaving my cat in their care with their Drop-off option, and I NEVER feel comfortable leaving my cat with anyone.

The bar is set extremely high and I will never forget how I felt in this experience. If they had offered human health services, I would most certainly come here! 😄

To quote Maya Angelou, “People may not remember what you said, but they remember how you made them feel.”☺️

Thank you Dr. Lipp and her team for making me feel safe at a Veterinary Clinic, something I’ve never experienced before and will never forget!

Dr. Sanchez was amazing! She was so kind and gentle and talked so sweet to my cat. He was injured and not looking good, but she spoke kind to him and was there for him. She was also supportive to myself, as I was concerned for his wellbeing. They treated him for exactly what I came in for. He is going to get well and I look forward to our checkup in two weeks. Thanks team for helping Hulk get better. I really felt cared for and loved.

Wonderful vet however I had a follow-up question and no one ever returned the phone call. Nobody cares or they just forgot about it. Spent all day worrying what to do. Hopefully, it is not a serious problem with the meds that were giving to my dog.. decided to just stop giving them since no answer from the prescribing vet. He has black poop and needed to know if that was something or just the meds.

Hi Lulu, she was doing very well yesterday after her appointment. She was a little sad, but I imagine it was just from the vaccine. Today she’s so happy, jumping around everywhere! The care was excellent, I highly recommend it. 😘😘

Dr. Heather is absolutely amazing! You can truly see how much she loves what she does. She treated my two Miniature Pinschers, Rocket and Maverick, with so much kindness, patience, and gentleness that they didn’t even complain when they got their vaccines.

It means the world to know my puppies feel safe and loved in her care. Finding a veterinarian like Dr. Heather is priceless, and I couldn’t ask for a better place for my two little loves. Highly recommend!

Dr. Heather and the entire team at CityVet are amazing!

We worked with Poodle & Pooch Rescue to save this little 16-year-old girl from Orange County Animal Services. Dr. Heather prioritized her health needs—and she had plenty! She needed urgent surgery, which Dr. Heather performed skillfully. When we picked her up post-op, Dr. Heather gave us clear instructions on how we needed to care for her. And she recorded what she said and gave us a transcript so we could refer to it when we got home.

Every single member of the team at CityVet is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate.

The office itself is fun and creatively furnished so that the people and the pets are as comfortable as possible.

I adopted a dog from the Humane Society. I brought her in to make sure she was up to date on everything she needed. City vet ran the tests and administered the missing vaccinations. The staff was outstanding and so very kind! Kudos to all of them!! 🥰

Everyone here was very nice and understanding while seeing my 11yo dog who lost a tooth. Upfront and honest about their pricings (which were much more reasonable compared to many other veterinarian offices), they didn’t hesitate to work with me and my current budget and were quick to let me know that they have a few financing options available should I need/want to take advantage of them. Just as importantly, they did not judge either me or my dog: me for my lack of finances and extended time between vet visits, and my dog for being a reactive dog around other pets. Great crew.

Ended up there today on a Sunday for urgent injury care. Everyone was so helpful and kind. Most importantly, I felt like each person that touched my animal cared about him. I had no reservations about leaving him for a few hours for the vet to work on him. She personally called me to let me know he was ok and explained in detail the treatment. Overall was a really seamless and positive experience. Should also mention that the location is great and there was zero urgent care price gouging. They were extremely reasonable and Oliver Is looking great and feeling great in his cone hat tonight.

We brought our Chihuahua Miracle in yesterday with a possible UTI. She had blood in her urine and our regular vet was closed for the weekend. CityVet told us to come in and we did. First impression: The facility was very clean. The front desk staff was friendly and we were taken to a room promptly. The vet assistant was so patient and she went above and beyond collecting the urine from the pee pad. We met with Dr. Cleary who explained our options. We waited for the results and were given 2 prescriptions for Miracle’s UTI. Dr. Cleary was very clear with instructions & next steps. Miracle is finally sleeping and appears to be feeling better. We are so thankful that CityVet was able to help us on a Saturday. We are seriously thinking about taking Miracle here for routine vet exams & vaccinations. Thanks everyone who helped us yesterday!

I cannot recommend Dr. C highly enough to anyone looking for a truly caring, compassionate relationship with their veterinarian.

Recently, my fur child was experiencing some common tummy issues that had seemingly resolved, but I still had a strong “gut feeling” that something wasn’t quite right. When I shared some of the subtle symptoms behind the initial issues, Dr. C was incredibly patient and collaborative. She helped me navigate potential diagnoses and mapped out a smart, practical starting point for testing that didn’t break the bank.

Thanks to her guidance and willingness to listen to my instincts, my dog was diagnosed with a lifetime condition that is now well-managed and simple to treat. Had I not had Dr. C by our side, I don’t know if we ever would have figured it out.

Throughout the entire process, she always offered clear options and communicated with me regularly. As an added bonus, the clinic is open on weekends and outside of standard working hours, which makes scheduling incredibly easy.

I felt completely heard, valued, and cared for as a pet parent. Most importantly, I knew my dog was in the absolute best hands. She is a vet who truly, deeply cares about the animals she treats! My deepest heartfelt gratitude to her and her team!!

My dog and I spend most of the year in another state. So when Sunny took ill in May I needed to find a local vet. Dr. Choi has been wonderful. She’s very thorough, compassionate and knowledgeable. The office personnel and vet techs are great as well. They call me the day after most appointments to check on Sunny and Dr. Choi emails a detailed write up after our visits. I’m very grateful I found this practice.

We love Dr. Choi and the staff of City Vet – Alexandria King Street! We are relatively new to the area and really struggled to find acceptable veterinary care for our dogs. City Vet was the third practice we tried – and the third time was the charm! The office is extremely clean, the staff is friendly and kind, and Dr. Choi is very patient, knowledgeable, and takes her time to talk with you during appointments. We have always been taken back to an exam room promptly upon arrival, yet we have never felt rushed through our appointment. The communication with the staff is exceptional – they respond quickly, politely, and thoroughly via text. Dr. Choi also sent some lab results to us via email over the weekend, with a very detailed explanation of the findings. I feel totally confident with her expertise. Both of our dogs can be difficult at the vet’s office, but Dr. Choi and her vet assistants are very gentle with them and understanding of their fearful behavior. Veterinary care is expensive, but I found that the costs here are much lower than the other two practices we tried, and I have never felt like they were trying to “upsell” us like other vets. Appointments are very easy to make/reschedule through the app with plenty of availability at various hours. I feel very fortunate that we found this veterinary practice and highly recommend it!

I’ve been bringing my pets to CityVet White Rock for years, and while I’ve shared my appreciation before, this week’s experience reminded me why I keep coming back. My two puppies recently had dental cleanings, and even though it’s a routine procedure, I was still nervous. Handing over your pets and waiting while they’re under anesthesia is never easy. Dr. Farr and her team were incredible from start to finish. The communication, updates, and genuine care they showed made a stressful day feel so much easier.

What stood out most was how personal the experience felt. I never felt like just another client or that my puppies were just another appointment. It was clear that Dr. Farr and her team truly cared about them and understood how much they mean to me. When I picked them up, I knew they had been well cared for, and the thoughtful follow-up afterward only reinforced that feeling. Great veterinary care is important, but finding a team that treats your pets like family is something special. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Farr and everyone at CityVet White Rock for taking such wonderful care of my babies.

We had the unfortunate experience of taking our family member (doggo) here just a week or so ago. She was 15 and he been suffering from a chronic cough as well as seizures. We had never been here in the past. These people were heaven sent. Understood what we were going through, were compassionate, and took their time. We knew before we got there that it was our friend’s time. They put the cars on the table and let us deal.

They gave us time with our dog every step of the way. The left us with a signal button to let them know when we were read for the next step. And as I cry now writing this review I tekk you that there is no better choice for end of life care than City Vet. I only am upset with them now because I got a heartfelt card from them in the mail reminding me just how important my dog was to me and to them.

In your hardest times, your hardest choices, I hope you pick these compassionate people to help you through those times. They were a God send.

I miss miss my dog now so much, but they mad the hardest choices easier and compassionate.

I have 2 “psychotic” reactive dachshunds, which I foolishly brought together with my daughters who were not helpful lol. When we entered the clinic complete chaos erupted as my girls let the dogs loose and they were barking and trying to attack all the other bigger dogs. Embarrassed and trying to corral the kids and dogs while simultaneously apologizing to the staff and other dog owners, the staff was prompt about getting us into a room even though we were 30 mins early.

In the room my crazy dogs were still barking like crazy, but the staff was so wonderful and offered to take them back separately to update their vaccines and get their nails trimmed as they were only there for a check up.

Dr. Harris is always wonderful, she prescribed my dogs an anti anxiety medication for the next time we come in. She was also very transparent about pricing before offering services which is very much appreciated.

Needless to say my experience was great and by the time we left nerves we calm. I will continue to take my pets to City Vet for their care, maybe next time separately and not with kids lol!! Thank you!

my dog absolutely loved the doctor. they got us in fast and took care of us. this will be our new go-to vet.
