The vet tech didn’t bat an eye when my dog got excited an peed, and got the stuff right away to clean it up.
The vet made some recommendations about teeth cleaning stuff for my dog, and pointed everything out and highlighted it for me so I’d know what to get. But she wasn’t pushy about why recommends, and I didn’t feel like she was trying to get me to buy anything I didn’t need.
I really do love this office, the staff, and the groomer, and the fact that it’s so close to my house is just a bonus. We’ll keep coming here as long as they are here, and I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

🎄🐾 Holiday Safety Reminder for Our Pets! 🐾🎄
With many holidays being celebrated over the next few weeks, it’s especially important to keep a close eye on our pets to make sure they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t.
🚫 Holiday Plants to Avoid
Common seasonal plants can be harmful if ingested, including:
• Lilies
• Mistletoe
• Poinsettias
• Holly
• Pine tree needles and sap
• Christmas cactus
These can cause irritation, vomiting, diarrhea, and in some cases more serious, life-threatening conditions.
🍽️ Holiday Foods to Keep Out of Reach
Foods such as turkey (especially dark meat), butter or fried dishes, stuffing, gravy, casseroles, and certain desserts can lead to vomiting and diarrhea. High-fat foods may also trigger pancreatitis.
⚠️ Toxic Foods — Seek Care Immediately
Uncooked bread dough, onions, raisins/grapes, xylitol, certain spices and oils (such as sage), chocolate (dark chocolate is the most toxic), and avocado pits are dangerous. If your pet ingests any of these, they should be seen as soon as possible.

One of the CityVet’s we called said they couldn’t see us but for us to try the Alamo Heights location. I’m so glad we did!!! The staff took in Bruno immediately, they showed so much care and concern for Bruno, as well as for me and my husband. We were so scared and emotional. We had lost a previous bulldog to airway issues, so we were terrified.
They kept our boy, even texted us a picture of him through out the day. Dr Jones called us with updated and then again for discharge care for when we went to go pick him up!!
We will forever be grateful for the love and care we received from Alamo Heights!!! We all got back home safely.
