Update: had our puppy neutered, and it was a simple process. My dog loves visiting his friends at City Vet. They are very responsive and use text as well as email. I love the Vet and the entire staff. I’ve had several wonderful experiences. We are now going to bring our cats here as well.

We ended up adopting a 8 week old puppy. My husband took him for his first visit with Dr. Watson where he informed them of Abby’s passing. Within a few days we received a hand written sympathy card signed by the whole staff with the sweetest notes.

When I arrived, there was no wait time, and Natalie greeted us so warmly. It genuinely felt like she was happy to see us. The nurses (Courtney and another whose name I didn’t catch) and Dr. Watson were all fantastic. They took the time to comfort Sweetie, talking to her and gently loving on her before doing anything, which made a stressful situation so much easier.
What really stood out to me was how confident and compassionate they were. They weren’t afraid to handle her, and it showed in how calm and cared for she felt. Dr. Watson quickly ruled out a fracture and instead found puncture wounds in her shoulder – the result of an attack from a tomcat that had been harassing her. They treated Sweetie efficiently and didn’t push any unnecessary medications or diagnostics, which I really appreciated.
Thank you to everyone at City Vet Waxahachie for providing such excellent care. You’re doing an amazing job!

After every thoracentesis procedure of my baby Tiger, they made sure to follow up the next day. If they couldn’t reach me by phone, they would send a text, which meant a lot to me. That level of care and attention shows they genuinely prioritize their patients’ well-being beyond the clinic.
Ashley, Lashonda, the front desk ladies, and Dr. Johnson were all incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate throughout the entire process. I’m very grateful for the support they provided during such a difficult time.
