My sweet Chloe crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday after a long health journey. During the nearly 7 months that she was under their care, this team provided not only excellent medical care but also extraordinary compassion.
When Chloe first arrived, she was facing a serious health crisis. Dr. VanDyke gave us options, guidance, and hope when we needed it most. Because of the care she received, I was blessed with precious additional time with my heart pup.
Throughout Chloe’s journey, everyone at the clinic treated her with kindness, patience, and genuine love. They also showed incredible understanding toward an anxious and overwhelmed dog mom who was trying to do everything possible for her beloved baby girl.
What I will remember most is Chloe’s final visit. Despite never being a fan of veterinary offices, she was calm and at peace. The entire team made one of the hardest days of my life more bearable through their compassion and support.
Dr. VanDyke, despite recovering from her own foot surgery, sat on the floor beside me and gave me a long hug as I said goodbye to Chloe. That moment meant more than I can ever express.
I will always be grateful to this team for helping Chloe live with dignity, comfort, and quality of life, and for helping her leave this world surrounded by love.
Thank you for everything you did for my sweet girl.

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Roy & Brooke for taking such incredible care of my baby, Dio! They truly went above and beyond while he was boarded for a few nights. I received multiple updates along with the sweetest pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about City Vet in Richardson and the incredible care they’ve given all of our fur babies. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with kindness, compassion, and a genuine love for animals that you can truly feel.
They took amazing care of Bruno, our little guy who needed dental extractions and a sedated grooming. The team made sure he was comfortable, safe, and well cared for every step of the way, and kept us informed so we never had to worry.
When our sweet Gracie had an emergency and required surgery for a blockage, City Vet went above and beyond. Dr. Timmerman and staff gave around-the-clock care, attention, and communication during such a scary time meant everything to us. We are forever grateful for the dedication and love they showed her.
Shortly after all that our cat had an abscess and needed close monitoring and treatment while we had to be out of town. City Vet was incredibly accommodating, watching her closely and making sure she received exactly the care she needed. It gave us such peace of mind knowing she was in such capable and loving hands.
They also helped our Golden today… we just switched her from her previous vet to now City Vet. Dr Timmerman has given some helpful suggestions to aid with her chronic ear infections.
Every single visit, we are reminded that this is a place where people truly care..not just about the animals, but about the families who love them. The entire staff is welcoming, compassionate, and professional, and we never feel rushed or dismissed.

But what I want to highlight most is something I’ve never experienced at a veterinary practice: for nearly a week, Dr. Raskin and his staff gave me a comfortable room where I could stay with my cat all day while he received treatment. Not a fifteen-minute visit – the entire day, every day. I sat with him through IV fluids, injections, and long stretches of monitoring. That meant I could comfort him during a genuinely frightening week, and it meant I could observe him closely and catch changes as they happened. Several times, something I noticed while sitting with him became a piece of information that shaped his care. Being present made me a real participant in his treatment rather than someone receiving updates by phone.
Over the following week Dr. Raskin adjusted the plan as new information came in, and when the initial approach wasn’t producing the response he wanted, he ran new bloodwork and changed course rather than waiting it out. He was honest about uncertainty, direct about options, and never dismissive. He’s the reason my cat is recovering – and the way his practice let me be there for it is something I’ll will always be grateful for.

Dr. Brazil is absolutely great. She gave us very detailed instructions before the surgery and kept me updated throughout every step. I happened to miss one of her calls, but she left a very thorough voicemail, which I really appreciated.
I had mentioned my concerns about my cat’s kidney health before the surgery. I really appreciated that Dr. Brazil took the time to review the blood test results and tell us to confirm everything was fine. It was a very considerate gesture.
The surgery went well, and my cat was active and was able to play with us and drink as soon as we got home. I also love how transparent their pricing is. The final bill was less than the original quote because the doctor assessed that my cat didn’t need certain treatment – she made sure the medication was tailored exactly to my cat’s situation. They also explained to my husband throughly when he picked the cat up. Highly recommended!
