The team at CityVet consistently cares for our pup like he is their own. Our dog gets into all sorts of trouble, but we always know that we can bring him to CityVet and he will be well cared for and loved on, and that we will get accurate diagnosis quickly.

We have been patients of Dr Awasthi for a year or so now, and she really takes the time necessary to hear our concerns, talk us through what is going on, and ensure we know all of our options.

The front desk always makes us feel like family, and could not be friendlier.

This was my first time taking my dog Fibo to this clinic and saw Dr. McGuire for an annual check up and vaccines. Dr. McGuire and his staff were extremely nice and professional. They took amazing care of my dog. He unfortunately had a slightly bad reaction to the vaccine and I took him back to see them. They were extremely helpful and took amazing care of my dog. I highly recommend this clinc and will definitely be taking my dog back here.

The front desk staff at CityVet Las Colinas were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. My pet’s procedure went well, and overall the care was good.

The only issue I had was after I asked a simple question about the difference between the estimate I signed and the final invoice. I wasn’t disputing the charges at all—I was simply looking for clarification, which I think is a normal question for any client to ask. While waiting, I could clearly hear the Doctor discussing me from another area with other people. Being able to hear that conversation felt really unprofessional and uncomfortable.

Overall, the experience was good, but the lack of professionalism in that situation was off putting.

Why does my dog snore? 🐾💤

Short answer: snoring happens when airflow gets partially blocked in your dog`s nose or throat during sleep, causing tissue to vibrate. It`s usually harmless — but not always.

Common causes:
Breed: flat-faced dogs like Pugs, Bulldogs & Boxers snore more due to shorter airways
Sleep position: snoozing on their back can block airflow
Weight & age: extra fat or looser throat muscles narrow the airway
Allergies: dust, pollen & smoke can irritate nasal passages
Medical issues: infections, respiratory problems, or sleep apnea

When to worry: sudden/louder snoring, labored breathing while awake, or snoring + coughing, discharge, or appetite changes.

Keep a wand toy within reach and swap it in the second they go for your hand. When play gets rough, stop and walk away — they learn fast that teeth end the fun. And watch for the tells that they`re overstimulated: tail flicking, ears back, pupils blown wide. That`s your cue to take a break.

The vet and her staff were phenomenal. They took such good care of our new puppy and insured good health. we went on a Sunday morning after getting a new puppy on Saturday, so had to pay their urgent care price which were a little costly but worth peace of mind since we had an older dog at Home We wanted to ensure the new puppy had no parasites or anything will be establishing both dogs as regular patients with them going forward as I’ve been told. They’re well check up appointments are only $69.

I came home late on a Saturday evening from an out of town trip to find that my dog had swelling around her left eye. She’s had this before and I was planning on taking her to my regular vet on Monday but by Sunday morning the swelling was worse almost causing her eye to be swollen shut. I decided I couldn’t wait until Monday so took her to City Vet Kingwood/Urgent Care. I was checked in and in a room quickly and didn’t have to wait long for Dr. Gillette to come in and check her out. After ruling out a snake bite, it was decided to put her on an antibiotic & pain meds with a follow up with my regular vet. I was totally impressed with Dr. Gillette – you can tell she is a dedicated vet that loves what she is doing. Once my vet retires, I would totally consider to changing over to have her as my regular vet. The entire process was easy and location very convenient. The entire staff was great. Costs were more than visits during regular business hours but much better than a regular emergency clinic. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Gillette and the front desk staff are amazing! So professional and genuinely caring. A little disappointed with Melissa, the vet tech. My husband asked her several questions and she complete ignored him and gave me the impression she didn’t want to be there. Totally get it but still sucks when the rest of the service is so wonderful.

Those tiny teeth hurt more than they have any right to.

If your kitten is ambushing your ankles, they`re not being mean — they`re being a kitten.
Keep a wand toy within reach and swap it in the second they go for your hand. When play gets rough, stop and walk away — they learn fast that teeth end the fun. And watch for the tells that they`re overstimulated: tail flicking, ears back, pupils blown wide. That`s your cue to take a break.

If biting starts suddenly or only when you touch one spot, it could signal pain, and you should talk to your veterinarian.

I walked into city vet today with my two dogs. Everyone there was extremely courteous and took care of my issues with the utmost care. I will be using City Vet as my regular vet from now on. The best service I’ve had with a vet.
Dr.Turner is one of the best veterinarians I have ever dealt with. You can feel her love of animals and that definitely makes a bad situation much better.

Dr. Turner and everyone at City Vet are fantastic!

Scheduling an appointment was simple and fast; they listened to all of my concerns/needs before scheduling a same-week check-up for my new dog. They clearly articulated what to bring (medical records, etc.) for the visit, and they were very patient with my pre-appointment questions.

On check-up day, everyone (from the front desk to the exam room) treated my dog with care and compassion. He’s still figuring out the world and gets anxious in new situations, so their patience really put him at ease. He received plenty of treats and love to keep him calm, even during uncomfortable procedures.

Dr. Turner was phenomenal! I asked if I could be in the room with my dog during exams–to alleviate his separation anxiety and keep him calm–and she graciously agreed, no questions asked. She communicated clearly during the exams, and she answered the myriad questions I posed about my dog’s health and care. She is a very knowledgeable veterinarian and a wonderful person.

Great experience! Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and helpful. They took amazing care of my 9 year old pup. Their prices were extremely reasonable for an urgent care visit, expedited blood work, and prescription food. They quoted me a price on everything before they did it so there were no surprises at the end. I’ll definitely be back for all our future vet needs.

I have an elderly dog, Dubby. I also found this Vet with my sister and her dog. The entire staff at Cityvet in Highlands Ranch is friendly, supportive and very knowledgeable. They took care with my elderly dog and tended to his special needs with kindness and care. They are a group of animal loving individuals that treat your pets with the care and consideration they would give their own. Providing both eastern and western medical care is a huge plus. I attended a visit with my sister’s cat who received acupuncture treatment. Dr. Turner was extremely patient and knowledgeable about the entire process. I very much recommend this clinic/urgent care to pet owners that want the best for the fur kids.

We cannot recommend this CityVet enough. Recently, our 12 year old yorkie suddenly became extremely ill. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and eager to help us. They explained our dog’s health situation to us with compassion.

Unfortunately, we had to put down our girl. The doctor and staff not only walked us through everything, but they gave our family time and space to grieve.

We are so thankful to CityVet for their care, their patience, and their compassion. We will most certainly continue relying on this location for our pet health needs.

We were visiting family from out of town when our dog became ill from an adverse reaction to a treat. We visited City Vet Urgent Care in Highlands Ranch. The team at this facility were amazing.

They understood that we were out of town and expecting to travel back home the next day. Their treatment recommendations took this into account and provided us with options that worked with our situation, while still putting our dogs needs at the top of the priority. The Dr. was very patient with all my questions and very thorough in explaining the pros and cons of each.

I’m really thankful for the team that helped us and followed up with us a few days later to see we were doing. Thank you for all your help!

I have a pitbull mix male dog and had always been nervous about taking him to a vet. I was driving home from work and saw a doberman leaving the vet so it made me feel a little more comfortable seeing “big scary “ dog there. The staff and vet made me feel very welcome and they took time with my dog. He had ear infections and they packed his ears. He is doing much better and with his ears doing better it’s allowing him to be a big baby again.

Why does my dog snore? 🐾💤

Short answer: snoring happens when airflow gets partially blocked in your dog`s nose or throat during sleep, causing tissue to vibrate. It`s usually harmless — but not always.

Common causes:
Breed: flat-faced dogs like Pugs, Bulldogs & Boxers snore more due to shorter airways
Sleep position: snoozing on their back can block airflow
Weight & age: extra fat or looser throat muscles narrow the airway
Allergies: dust, pollen & smoke can irritate nasal passages
Medical issues: infections, respiratory problems, or sleep apnea

When to worry: sudden/louder snoring, labored breathing while awake, or snoring + coughing, discharge, or appetite changes.

My two pups and I absolutely love Dr. Daugette and the entire team at CityVet of Keller. ❤️

I have one pup who is currently battling cancer, and my other had a very scary albuterol toxicity incident. During such stressful and frightening moments, Dr. Daugette has gone above and beyond to care for my dogs and to support me as a worried dog mom. Even on her day off, she personally reached out to walk me through everything and help me understand what was happening. That meant more to me than I can put into words.

She and her entire team have been incredibly kind, compassionate, patient, and gentle with both of my pups. It’s clear that they genuinely care about the animals they treat, and that level of compassion makes such a difference when you’re going through something scary.

We are so incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Daugette and CityVet of Keller. I truly cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my babies!

Highly recommend CityVet! Dr Daugette was amazing with answering any questions and she explained everything well. I came to see them for my Boston Terrier with a tooth root abscess. His case is a little more complex since he has a heart murmur. She even took time to answer questions I had about my Pitbull’s allergies and diagnosis from the dermatologist. We plan to bring our pitbull by for analysis soon!

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible team at this location for their remarkable compassion and dedication. Today, while at work , I found a dog that had been wandering, visibly exhausted and dehydrated due to the extreme heat. I decided to bring the dog to CityVet to check for a microchip.

What struck me was how the entire available team came together to assist this pup in locating its family. After scanning the microchip, they reached out to the registered owner, only to discover that the dog had been rehomed multiple times. The team went above and beyond by contacting each potential lead in hopes of reuniting the dog with its rightful family. Throughout this process, they also took photos to help with posting the dog online and assisted me in finding an available shelter as a backup option.
I am happy to report that after all their efforts, the owner was found. The team could have easily given up, but they truly went the extra mile, resulting in a reunion between the family and their beloved baby.
Thank you all for your outstanding service;, you are truly amazing. I also want to mention that my own dog used to visit this location before we moved pretty far away, and the quality of service has always remained consistently excellent. Thanks guys, this whole team deserves major praise!

CityVet Frisco has great people and services. Their vets and groomers have specific knowledge of dachshunds and how they should be cared for and groomed. Megan is great in the grooming section and Liz at the front desk is a gem. It’s always a pleasure working with the vets and staff.

They get excited every time we tell them they get to go see their friends at the front desk, especially Liz, their favorite tech, Paige, and their favorite vets: Dr. Trostel and Dr. Deeke. They all come out to see our pups right when they get here! We couldn’t be happier with how both us and our pups are treated from the moment we walk in the door! Even when our older lab was scared to get out of the car, some of the staff brought out treats, helped me carry her out of the car, and made sure she was comfortable! They’re also amazing with feedback and customer service. We get personalized texts after every visit with TONS of detail! We can always feel confident any of our animals are getting the most love, care, and best treatment possible here at Cityvet frisco! We love it so much, my brother in law brings his cat here too! They ask us about him when we bring our dogs, and they ask him about our dogs when he brings his cat in! You can tell the staff LOVES all the pets here, and goes above and beyond for all of them. Would never think of going to another vet.

Our labs LOVE City Vet Frisco! We drive across town just to go to this specific location. The staff is incredibly patient, kind, and informative. One of our labs gets nervous and they give her lots of love every time. We have seen her anxiety visibly go down every time she comes here. Dr. Trostel and Dr. Deeke remember our pups by their name the minute they walk in and our dogs get super excited to be with them! Their favorite techs are Liz and Paige. They are so friendly and comforting.

City Vet was highly recommended to us by a family member. We had a wonderful first experience today! Dr. Johnston was very thorough and loving with our 8 year old Boxer to assess a nose bleed. I couldn’t be more grateful for Dr. Johnston and her team. My dog is a bit *much*, I’m a high maintenance client because I have a million follow up questions about everything, and I’m *not* easily impressed. But they’ve never once left me feeling anything but listened to and cared for! My boy comes here monthly for allergy management and he just had surgery with them. They texted me proactively with updates and checked in the day after to see how he was settling. They always know his name and I don’t think I’ve ever had to leave a voicemail. If I could leave 6 stars I would. Thank you SO much for your stellar care of my boy.

I’ve been going to city vet for years in different locations around DFW… Dr Johnston and her staff are the best I’ve ever experienced! I have a sweet bunny who has some chronic issues now that she’s older, and the staff at Lexington are always so kind and gentle with her. I love Dr Johnston’s assistant, Andrea, as well. She is so professional and puts me at ease if I ever have concerns. The front office is always so good at replying to my texts if I ever have a concerns. They have given a really good diagnosis and health plan to help manage my bunny’s symptoms. I appreciate Dr Johnston’s follow up emails after each appt and the check ins they do each time my bunny has something done. Thank you so much!!!

I had a great experience here. The doctor was very attentive and took the time to explain everything clearly. The entire staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made the visit feel very comfortable.

The service was also quick and well organized, which I really appreciated. Andrea speaks Spanish and was a huge help throughout the process, making communication much easier.

Overall, a very positive experience—I would definitely recommend this place!

Still wonderful cafe for my fur babies! We were worried Simba had a heart murmur and Dr. Johnston went above and beyond! She observed him for a day and he was so anxious. She then said we should try some gabapentin and bring him back. World of difference! Poor little guy was anxious! She saved us so much money by being patient and trying other avenues for us! So thankful for this loving team at City vet Lexington !
